We’re sure she must have suspected we would arrange a ‘secret’ something for her 90thbirthday! Our very special and much-loved Element’s resident, June, was brought into the community centre on her birthday with as many cloak and dagger tactics as her family and friends could muster. There she was greeted by a large room full to bursting with Elements residents and family members who were all determined to celebrate June’s birthday in true Happy Living style.
The birthday menu? June’s favourite. Pizza for all! Sitting between the balloons in the community centre, we shared our favourite June stories between slices, provided her with a celebratory hat and danced the evening away. After all, a lot of pizza had to be worked off!
June’s surprise 90thbirthday ended with a huge, home-baked cake. Well, maybe not that huge. We couldn’t get the full 90 candles on top, but nobody minded! It was great to be able to show June how important she is to us all and, of course, Element’s residents never need an excuse to have a party!
