Over 100 homes in the Elements Village are participating in the shopping event of the year, providing a mecca for treasures, tools, homewares, plants, appliances, bric-a-brac and things you did not even know you needed.
This particular event will not be short of flair and fun. Expect to find unique and interesting pieces that reflect the wonderful individuals that reside here in our gorgeous Village.
What Is the National Garage Sale Trail?
Supported by the Logan and Brisbane City Councils, the Garage Sale Trail is a national event held across the 21st and 22nd of November. Aussie households are encouraged to join the trail and either participate in the buying or selling. With the pandemic putting extra financial strain on many families across the country, this year’s “Recovery Edition” of this national initiative helps everyday folk earn some extra pocket money and allows shoppers to bag a bargain.
In addition, this weekend also gives unwanted items a new lease on life, finding a new home and thus helping our environment in the ‘circular economy’
Last year over 400,000 Australians got involved at 18,000 garage sales country wide. The national effort helped to divert over 3.2 million kgs of unwanted items from landfill.
This year, we hope to be part of that effort.
