Our Indian Dinner

Last month, Elements residents, family and friends were treated to a taste of India at the monthly themed monthly dinner cooked by star chefs, Pozz and Matt. After hearing the entertaining, star-studded and culinary life story of our guest speaker Manju Mehu, Elements guests were given the option of a mild chicken tikka masala or pork-loin vindaloo (also only mild). Dessert consisted of a gentle rosewater and cardamom sponge featuring Indian brittle, sweet saffron yoghurt and a sprinkling of pistachio. While the mix of spices in a sweet dish had a few residents unsure of what to expect, a host of (unsurprisingly) empty plates were returned to the kitchen.

The quality of Elements meals has a lot to do with our chefs. Both award-winning locals, the Indian dinner gave everyone an opportunity not only to congratulate Matt on his upcoming wedding but also to offer the same for the latest string to his gourmet bow – winner of Queensland Chef of the Year.  No wonder Elements epicurean events are so popular!
