A few evenings were set aside for chat, entertainment and a slap up meal. Most of these evenings are a permanent fixture in the Elements monthly calendar, with all residents, their friends and family welcome to join. These highly social occasions are held in the community centre (it’s the only place big enough to fit everyone in).
This month’s Elements Dinner definitely needed to be held in the community centre – the venue was packed. With a combined Anzac Day and Easter theme, the hall was entertained by an interesting talk about a particularly interesting legal case and was given by the Honourable Peter Lyons QC, local Supreme Court judge. Surprise seating was arranged, where residents found new friends or caught up with older ones from the Happy Living community. The Easter egg dessert went down very well.
Another dining occasion featured the broad menus of local Vietnamese and Chinese takeaways. Taking the many orders had been done well beforehand. Yet another occasion where the Elements team’s organisational skills ended in a fantastic evening with a fantastic atmosphere, and with fantastic friends.
At the Element’s Social, once again held at the bustling community centre, the dance floor was colourfully packed after both residents and guests had enjoyed a tasty Japanese spread. And there’s always more to look forward to. Elements will also take part in the national Biggest Morning Tea event on May 23rd, where all proceeds go towards those affected by cancer.
