At Elements, we don’t need too many excuses to organise a Village get together, and in this case, Christmas In July was cause enough to celebrate and the Village did not disappoint. Christmas In July is now a fondly anticipated annual event in the Elements’ calendar. In the true spirit of Christmas, togetherness, giving and feasting was the name of the day. The entire village joined in for a fabulously festive gathering with all the trimmings, Christmas favourites and plenty of fun.
The Preparation
It would not be Christmas without months of planning and preparation. Some would say it takes a Village, and in the spirit of Elements, our residents, the heart and soul of our community, worked beautifully together to create a magical occasion for all.
Nothing was overlooked, with a thoroughly authentic Christmas experience created. From perfectly placed Christmas decorations, festive décor and place settings, a hearty Christmas menu and of course plenty of gifts, another celebration was enjoyed. Even Santa made an appearance.
Christmas Is About Togetherness
In these times of change and uncertainty, Elements’ Christmas in July brought some much-needed extra smiles and laughter to the residents. Despite the shift in daily life as we knew it (thank you COVID), we have been able to still enjoy and retain a sense of community here at Elements. Our village, staff, residents and visitors remain vigilant, adhering to all social distancing and Covid safe guidelines and regulations. As restrictions recently easing and a sense of normality returning in the village, our community was ready to celebrate and the annual event came at the perfect time.
The celebration wasn’t just about all things Christmas, but of friendship and community in these trying times. It is wonderful witnessing how our residents were there for one another through adversity and change. The Elements’ community celebrated, as no matter what life may throw at us, we aren’t alone, and that is the greatest Christmas gift of all.
Monthly Dinners
We don’t have to wait for the two Christmases each year to bring the Village together. In addition to events like Christmas In July, our community comes together for a monthly dinner, a tradition started in March last year. Each dinner is inspired by exotic and classic taste sensations from around the world, allowing residents to be taken on a culinary journey right here at home. These community dining experiences are an opportunity to connect, introduce new residents and of course have fun. Some say it is the social event of every month, especially in July!
