Elements had much pleasure in welcoming over fifty guests to its inaugural Christmas in July luncheon last Saturday. Our Club Elements was transformed into a winter wonderland, decorated with all things Christmas with carols filling the air and the fireplace roasting (no chestnuts however!). The fabulous day even included a visit from Santa!
Residents, family, staff, invited guests all enjoyed a wonderful three course luncheon lovingly prepared by some dedicated Elements residents and staff, and all enthusiastically lead by master-chef (and Elements Managing Director) Chiou See Anderson.
Luncheon included:
- Mull Wine, Orange and Marmalade Roast Turkey with Cranberry Sauce, Honey Glazed Ham, Plum Pudding with Brandy Cream, Sherry Trifle with Vanilla Cream. Vegetarians were also catered for with a super vege roast.
Everyone had a great time and definitely appreciated the efforts of all the helpers:
“Thank you for a wonderful time. The setting was great, the food terrific, the service was fantastic and Santa was out of this world. Thank you to everyone that worked so hard to make such a good day.” Lois and Tony (Elements Residents)
“Just to say thank you for a wonderful day on Saturday. It’s the first time I have celebrated Christmas in July which made it all the more pleasing to me. Please thank all the staff who did a wonderful job and all the young ones who served and cleared up after. Looking forward to next July already. ” Annette (Elements Resident)
Many others also mentioned that it was their first ever Christmas in July with Managing Director, Chiou See declaring “this was the first Christmas in July for me and I think it is a wonderful tradition for Elements to keep as most people are usually away during the real Christmas. Next year we’ll probably have it on the lawns as the event will grow. Any volunteers for potato peeling?”
Chiou See further thanked all that helped and expressed her gratitude to everyone for making the day such a wonderful occasion. Merry Christmas (in July)!
